MARISSA LUNA
Country/Pop Artist
Marissa Luna is a local country artist and singer-songwriter, currently working on her first EP set for release this year. Marissa's musical journey has led her to significant stages, including a performance in March 2023 at the Music Hall of Fame induction, where she honored Peanutt Montgomery. At this event, she was invited to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame to perform Tanya Tucker’s first number one hit, “What’s Your Momma’s Name,” a song written by Peanutt Montgomery. She also had the privilege of opening for Maddie & Tae in the spring of 2023 and for Walker Hayes during the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival. In addition, Marissa opened for Grammy-winning artist Yolanda Adams alongside the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Recently, Marissa moved to Nashville, where she is collaborating with top songwriters and production companies, including the legendary Fame Studios and Rodney Hall’s production team in Muscle Shoals. Marissa's musical roots run deep, as she was classically trained as a singer from a young age. Her dedication to both music and advocacy shines through in her non-profit, More than Meets the Eye, which she founded at the age of 15 to raise awareness for hidden disabilities. Having personally overcome her own struggles with hidden disabilities, Marissa is committed to encouraging others to chase their dreams despite their challenges, all while reminding us that we are all more than what meets the eye. On November 10, 2024, Marissa was crowned Miss Nashville, further cementing her influence as an artist and advocate in her community
